Wipeout is inspired by a Japanese game show and will be taking extreme obstacle courses (such as those from Spike TV's "MXC" and G4's import "Ninja Warrior") to a new level. Contestants will be competing for $50,000 and ESPN's John Anderson will be hosting.
This competitive reality show pits 24 contestants against each other to see who can most effectively grapple with the wild and impossible challenges of an obstacle course, with the winner taking home a $50,000 prize. With more slips, falls, and slapstick slips, the show provides not just excitement, but over the top comedy at every turn.
Previous Episode: It is hotties vs. nerds in a battle of the sexes that includes such obstacles as the Wipeout Carwash, Total Carnage and the Wipeout Play Set. Twenty-four contestants compete against each other and the clock to make it through wild obstacle courses to ultimately be one of the final 4. The final 4 then face the Wipeout Zone. The contestant with the fastest time wins $50,000. The Lawnmower, Big Balls, the Mood Swing and the Scareousel are among the obstacles faced.
The Mood Swing is tipsy, the Qualifier plays Human Pinball with contestants and the Wipeout Kitchen serves Mexican food. Wheel of Misfortune, Total Carnage, Wipeout Playset and Towering Flume of Doom are among the obstacles faced.
